The most common type of forklift used in the marketplace. Commonly used in manufacturing, warehousing, yard work. Comes as either battery powered, LPG, Petrol or Diesel. Benefits – comes in various tonnage (size) to be able to lift a variety of loads. Has a higher axle height and built to be robust so can be used inside and outside (on gravel or gradients*).* gradients must be within manufacturers specs and ground is still required to be level (no potholes) for the forklift to remain stable and safe with the load.
Designed to be used inside in a warehouse that has high racking. Commonly used in warehousing. Usually only battery powered due to being used inside. It requires a solid level surface. Benefits – drivers usually sit side on to the racking so it fits in to aisles and racking easier compared to a counterbalance that has a larger turning circle.
Designed to be used inside in a warehouse to reduce the aisle size. Commonly used in warehousing. Usually battery powered due to being used inside in small aisles. Benefits – Only the forks are required to turn in to the space so it means by having smaller aisles you can have more racks installed.
