If a Telehandler has FORKS it comes under the training of a FORKLIFT course. If a Telehandler has a BUCKET it comes under the training for WHEELS (WTR Course). We can take care of this training for you. You can complete face to face training at your site or ours. You can also do online training for the theory learning. If you choose to come to our site for face to face training we can then come out to do an assessment at your site to include the Telehandler on your forklift licence at a very reasonable cost. There is no additional charge for the Telehandler if you have booked for face to face training at your site on an online assessment at your site. If you are using the Telehandler as a crane which is NOT an attachment that connects to forks, then this comes under the crane training and is not something we are able to assist you with.
It is important your forklift licence states the machinery you use so in the event of an incident/audit/investigation you can show your proof of competency - as required by the Health and Safety at Work Acts. This is why we come out to company sites to assess on any Forklift or Wheels, Tracks, Roller machinery that is siginificantly different to the machinery they have done training on. Just because you can competently drive a counterbalance doesn't mean you can drive a Telehandler or Reach forklift....they are very different. A person competent in operating a 2 tonne digger may not be competent operating a 15 tonne digger.
Not having the correct training can result in costs such as: * Product damage * Machinery damage * Property damage * Insurance claims being denied * ACC Premiums increasing Let
